Air India Bombing
Ok I said I wasn't going to get involved in the Triads or the Indo Canadian gangs because they don't affect me but this case drips with so much corruption it affects all of us and is a perfect example of how the Judicial system in British Columbia has gone bad - very bad. The story has been revisited for two reasons. Kim Bolan's tell almost all book and the recent headline of the only one who was finally convicted ends up walking away free. That corruption is simply evil. Nothing more nothing less.
Now this is not a dig at the Indo Canadian community. On the contrary it is a plea for justice on their behalf. Jack the Ripper was British. We can't blame his actions on everyone from England. I spoke with two members of the Indo Canadian community at Chris Mohan's memorial birthday Mass in Surrey. They both cited various injustices in the case and started to argue that Indo Canadians were not the only ones murdered on that flight. They were implying that it was the loss of human life and everyone should be concerned. Indeed we should.
I remember the murder of that Sikh editor in Surrey for speaking out against the accused in the Air India bombing. He was in a wheelchair having survived a former attempt to shut him up so they finally finished the job when he continued to make a plea for justice. I lived at the complex at the end of his culdesack and remember seeing the police line when he was murdered. Did Tara Singh Hayer die in vain? Is it because one of the accused was a prominent member of society and sat as a director at the Kalsa credit union that justice was sold out?
I'm not going to discuss the merits of the case... much. I'll leave that for Kim Bolan in her book since I didn't follow the trial. But I will say one thing. How is it that a judge in a Canadian court can hear massive amounts of evidence from witnesses who were forced to take multiple lie detector tests and throw out all that evidence based on his whim that the witnesses were lying despite the fact that they passed the lie detector tests? That is criminal. When judges hear good evidence and throw it out on a whim, that is treason and it is happening all the time in B.C. and no one seems to care... much. Here in B.C. we went from the Hanging judge in Victoria to judges who should be hanged.
We need a mechanism in place to remove bad judges from the bench.
